Speech Therapy


Communication and Swallowing Difficulties have a significant impact on people’s lives and can be treated by a Speech/Language Pathologist. Crook County Medical Services District's Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) is Nationally certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Colleen G. Geil, M.S.,CCC/SLP has been providing speech, language and swallowing therapy since 1990. Health and Wellness


Exercise benefits the body in many ways. Personal training goes beyond the basics of exercise. Within your sessions we will discuss your goals and the best plan of action to develop and maintain your exercise prescription.  Example areas may include cardiovascular fitness, strength training, balance techniques, increasing flexibility, improving range of motion and calculating body composition. Your program will include the aspects that motivate you to achieve your goals.

Good nutrition is an essential piece of the health puzzle. It goes beyond what is served on your plate to also include setting achievable goals. Nutritional wellness visits can cover topics such as the healthy plate, portion control and healthier options while eating out. Personalized nutrition plans can also be provided. Infusion Therapy

 

Crook County Medical Services District's allows for Infusion therapy to treat patients. Infusion therapy is used to treat serious or chronic infections/illnesses that do not respond to oral antibiotics. Some examples of these infections/illnesses are  cancers and the pain caused by cancers;  gastrointestinal diseases; dehydration caused by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea; and other serious diseases. More complex illnesses that respond well to IV medications are: multiple sclerosis, some forms of arthritis, congestive heart failure and some types of immune deficiency disorders just to name a few.
